Calling all NURSES and MUSICIANS

While putting the final touches on our staff for this year, we are looking for an energetic person to lead our music throughout the week and a compasionate nurse to help take care of the minor injuries, rashes, headaches, etc that come up during the week.

The "music lady" leads singing at the sessions, helps with various tasks in the office and with the programs throughout the week, and also will assist with the talent show. This should be a person with a lot of energy and enjoys working with teenagers. The "music lady" does not have to know how to read music, just have some basic singing skills and be comfortable on stage.

The "nurse lady" will take care of any and all medical needs that arise throughout the week, ranging from rashes and bug bites to allergies and colds. All necessary medical supplies are provided, there is an emergency room just down the street that we utilize if needed, and we have primary care physicians that we can utilize from their clinics if needed during the week. A hotel room on campus is provided for the nurse rather than dorm room accommodations, and medical release cards are signed for each girl by her parent. We usually have about 800-900 girls each year.

If you know anyone who might be interested in volunteering to fill either of these needs, please contact us at arkansasgirlsstate@yahoo.com.
